We are the data controller for the purposes of UK data protection law. This means we are responsible for deciding how we hold and use personal information about you.

2. What information we collect

We may collect the following types of personal data when you use our website or interact with us:

  • Name, email address, phone number, and company name when you complete a contact form or subscribe to our mailing list
  • Any information you include in correspondence with us

Information we collect automatically

  • Technical data such as your IP address, browser type and version, time zone setting, operating system, and platform
  • Usage data including pages visited, time spent on pages, page interaction information, and the page you visited before navigating to our site

3. How we use your information

We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. The table below sets out the purposes for which we use your data and the legal basis we rely on in each case.

  • To respond to enquiries you submit through our contact form or by email (Legitimate interest (responding to potential clients))
  • To send you marketing communications you have opted in to receive (Consent)
  • To administer and protect our website (including troubleshooting, data analysis, and testing) (Legitimate interest (running our business and maintaining our IT systems))
  • To analyse how visitors use our website so we can improve it (Legitimate interest (improving our website and services))

4. Who we share your data with

We may share your personal data with the following categories of third parties:

  • Service providers who assist us in operating our website, such as hosting providers and analytics services
  • Professional advisers including lawyers, auditors, and insurers
  • HM Revenue & Customs, regulators, and other authorities where required by law

We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law. We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.

5. International transfers

Some of our service providers may be based outside the United Kingdom. Whenever we transfer your personal data out of the UK, we ensure a similar degree of protection is afforded to it by ensuring at least one of the following safeguards is in place:

  • The country has been deemed to provide an adequate level of protection for personal data
  • We use specific contracts approved for use in the UK which give personal data the same protection it has in the UK (UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum to EU Standard Contractual Clauses)

6. How long we keep your data

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for. To determine the appropriate retention period, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure, and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means.

Contact form enquiries and related correspondence are retained for 24 months from the date of your last interaction with us, after which they are securely deleted. Marketing list subscribers are retained until they unsubscribe or we have had no engagement for 24 months.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

  • Access - you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification - you can ask us to correct inaccurate data or complete incomplete data
  • Erasure - you can ask us to delete your personal data in certain circumstances
  • Restriction - you can ask us to restrict the processing of your data in certain circumstances
  • Portability - you can ask us to transfer your data to another organisation in a structured, commonly used format
  • Objection - you can object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing purposes
  • Withdraw consent - where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time

You also have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection issues (www.ico.org.uk). We would, however, appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns before you approach the ICO, so please do contact us in the first instance.

8. Security

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered, or disclosed. We limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors, and other third parties who have a business need to know.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
